250 Homes totaling $80,000,000 sold in January 2023 in the Roanoke Valley!

January of 2023 saw a 32% decline in homes sold versus 2022, with 365 homes sold in 2022 while only 250 were sold in 2023. The average sale price, however, was up over $27,000 while it took 9 days more on average for the houses to sell.

Franklin County had the highest average sale price for our region at $514,936 while the City of Roanoke was the most inexpensive at $232,973. Homes in the City of Salem sold the fastest at an average of 18 days on the market and the slowest selling time was still a very low 54 days in Bedford County.  

 Roanoke County had the most home sales with 70 compared to the City of Salem at 13. Statistics for all of the major areas covered by the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors is shown on the chart below.
